Ask us about our barn cats, we have fixed, vaccinated feral cats free to a home providing them warmth, shelter and food. ​Fun fact: Did you know that all of the pictures of animals on this site, except for the gallery photos are animals that have already been adopted?!
Animal Control
If you have an emergency please call the shelter at 519-372-1123 and follow the instructions to reach the emergency line. Please only use the number for emergencies.

If you are missing a dog or cat, please call the shelter and leave a message with your information, and the animal's description.

A rabies vaccination clinic is scheduled for September 20, 2025 at the Owen Sound Animal Shelter.
On September 20th, 2025 a Rabies Clinic will be held to assist the public in having their pets vaccinated against rabies. This public Rabies Clinic will provide rabies vaccines on this date ONLY.
The hours of will be from 10 am until 2 pm.
The Rabies Clinic will be held at 2125 18th Avenue, East, in the City of Owen Sound at the Owen Sound Animal Shelter (OSAS) with vaccines administered by local veterinarians.
Rabies vaccines will cost $30.00 per animal. All transactions on this day will be cash only. Please try to bring exact change.
